We have secured Ron Wenkart for the legal forum unfortunately, the Sycamore Center wanted to charge for use of the room so we are moving it to Riverside COE where they will host us for free.

A new issue is in the works it will include a president's message, profiles of the new board member and scholarship information.
Legislative Update Sherman

State Conference April 2004 Frank
Frank handed out a draft of conference information. It includes a description of tasks and persons responsible. Frank's presidents message was handed out for our review. He also handed out color copies of the conference flyer/registration form. The production cost was $1400 but it will be worth the money because it looks great! We need to saturate our districts with these forms especially San Diego.
Questions:
Will attendees receive a notebook or CD rom? Still up for discussion. Maybe a website as well?
Should we allow purchase orders? That is being worked on
Certificates for CEU hours? This could be a conference draw for people who need hours and we could charge extra $ for the certificate.
Vendors will be charged $100/table presenters will be free of charge. The program will have a list of vendors as well.
The Presidents Reception will be partially sponsored and the luncheon will be fully sponsored this saves us money.
Audio-visual equipment is very expensive to borrow from the hotel so we will try to bring our own we especially need projectors for power point presentations
We need items for the raffle each section will donate a basket and we can ask some of the vendors to donate as well
It was decided that all conference expenses will go through Ken
Frank walked us through the conference most workshops and their presenters are set although there are still some to be fille
