Connection Mark is working on the winter edition of the Connection. The deadline for submission of material is on or before January 6th. Please e-mail submissions to both Mark and Frank. Thanks for your help!
Intercom The latest edition looks great! Some board members received multiple copies via e-mail with such a large file, many e-mail boxes were filled up! It appears that some were cc'd and thus received more than one. We will be sure to clear this up with Frank before the next edition.
Legislation Rob reminded us of the LACOE Legislative Update to be held next month. There are a total of 39 bills that will be reviewed at the workshop.
Web Page Tom asks that we keep him updated on any new or changing information for the webpage.
State Update The report from the spring conference shows a profit of $1,100. There is not yet a breakdown of how many memberships we received from the registration. Reminder this year's conference will be in Fresno in April.
Membership Tom provided us with a state-wide membership breakdown:
Bay 53
Delta 91
San Joaquin 59
Southern 170
Grand total 373
There are also 519 inactive members previous CASCWA members that have not renewed memberships.
A clarification was made about membership and when a person joins: the state constitution by-laws state that CASCWA membership is annual from the date the person joins, so memberships expire at different times through out the year.
Review of the Phil Kauble Legal Forum Dr. Donna, All
The information that was shared today was invaluable. Unfortunately, our turnout was not as large as we had hoped. We will talk about replicating this same Legal Forum in the Inland Empire some time in the future. We already have a Legal Forum tentatively scheduled for the SB/Venture area in the spring CASCWA 101, so we will probably table this thought until next year. Another suggestion would be to present this topic as a potential breakout group for a future conference.
Intercom
Thanks again to Frank for another fabulous edition of the Intercom.

Thanks to Rob for his presentation today.
Remember your Developmental Assets!
A great big "thank you" to Steve Fraire and the folks at La Costa Canyon High School for allowing us to use their facility for today's Legal Forum.
